I had a webinar (seminar on the web) for using photoshop tonight and here's a photo I played with using what I learned. Changing the eye color was a neat trick - reminds me of the days when I had green contacts. I don't have too many wrinkles yet but I learned how to soften laugh lines, remove redness from allergy eyes, remove or reduce double chins, and a few other things. But I've learned more about the tools that photoshop has like the dodge and burn which I didn't even know elements had, unfortunately one of the tools they used a lot, the patch tool, elements apparently doesn't have. Although it looks like I'll be able to use clone stamp to do most of that.

Celebrating my birthday
It was great to be home for my birthday and I took the opportunity to request a couple of my favorite family dishes: Grandma Tyler's spaghetti and my mom's very own Texas Sheet Cake. All in all, a delicious birthday indeed, even though we missed you Wil (we could have thrown some Cayenne pepper in your spaghetti).

Vamos a la playa
Abigail and I took advantage of our first sunny day in weeks to head down to the Fort Hasse Beach.
Before
After - not crazy about the imperfections in the extra bubbles I cloned in but this is my first time using clone to add something as opposed to removing stray hairs, blemishes, etc. Now that I'm looking at this again I think I like the un-enhanced sky better - here her hat seems to blend too well with the sky and in the before image there's some contrast. Maybe I should punch up the color of her hat instead - the picture is supposed to be about Abigail anyway, not the sky.Wednesday, March 11
